Pre-construction soil treatment on a Guinean worksite

Local content

Our workforce is overwhelmingly Guinean and recruited in the prefectures around the worksites. That commitment cuts dependence on foreign resources, creates local jobs and sustains the quality of relationships with neighbouring communities.

Around our Beyla worksites — Moribadou, Mafindou, Traorela, Sinko, Boola — malaria remains a major burden. We commit 1.1% of annual turnover to distributing prevention and treatment kits, and to awareness campaigns on the dangers of excessive pesticide use during farming seasons.
